Vacation Suggestions That Will Save You Hundreds!

I've taken to looking at forums on the Internet about saving money and making money recently because I found one by accident and now I'm hooked. There are so many people out there wanting to help people across the other side of the world... and yet some people cannot be bothered to help their neighbours! Anyway, I found a great post on saving money on vacations and how to have a fab holiday without spending very much so I thought I'd post a slimmed down version on here:

* Go stay with friends that live elsewhere in the world and provide a vacation place for them to. Returning the favour will provide you both with a holiday and help you to share the expenses of a vacation as well.
* Travel on a ferry rather than by car or plane. The tickets are really cheap, especially those available around Europe... and it's more environmentally friendly too!
* Ge your friends together and hire an rv. You get to have your own private vacation, share the costs and it is much cheaper than staying in a hotel or hiring a cabin etc.
* Go camping! Pick out a spot you want to spend time in and take a tent with you. If you have never tried camping before and think you might hate it then try it because you may be surprised. Borrow the tent if you have to!
* Finally, if you save ipoints or air miles then cash them in. Of course, you may need quite a few but check out all the loyalty schemes that you are a part of and see how many you can redeem for cash or vouchers towards a holiday.
